Refills marked 'fits all bins that twist' are suitable for Tommee Tippee Twist & Click and Sangentic Tec bins. They do not fit Simplee Sangenic bins.
How long will the Tommee Tippee Twist & Click refill cartridge last?
That depends on how often you change your little one’s nappy, and the size you’re using. Each Eco-Refill should last up to one month based on using size 1 nappies.
What is GREENFILM™?
GREENFILM™ is a renewable bioplastic alternative to polyethylene that’s made from sustainably sourced sugarcane. It’s used to produce the convenient nappy-disposal products in Tommee Tippee’s Twist & Click range.
Where is GREENFILM™ produced?
GREENFILM™ is produced in southern Brazil.
How is GREENFILM™ produced?
GREENFILM™ is made using ethanol (a form of alcohol) that’s extracted from raw sugarcane. The sugarcane is transported to the manufacturing site by train rather than road to reduce carbon emissions. The ethanol is dehydrated and transformed into Green Polyethylene. The Green Polyethylene then goes to a polymerization plant where it’s transformed into GREENFILM™ bioplastic.
GREENFILM™ bioplastic is made using a drop-in process by the same machinery that’s used in traditional plastic manufacturing, so no new investments or specialised equipment are required, and waste is kept to a minimum throughout the whole process.
Where does the sugarcane used to make GREENFILM™ come from?
The sustainable raw sugarcane used to make GREENFILM™ is cultivated on controlled, pesticide-free plantations in central and southern Brazil that are more than 2,500km from the Amazon region. As it grows, it absorbs CO2 using photosynthesis. It’s one of the most productive plants on earth and is harvested every 6 to 12 months.
Is GREENFILM™ biodegradable and/or can it be used in compost?
No, GREENFILM™ isn’t biodegradable or compostable. However, like traditional plastics, it’s a recyclable material that can be recycled in the same chain that’s used for processing conventional polyethylene made from fossil materials.
What is the difference between sugarcane ethanol and fossil materials like oil?
Being a renewable crop, sugarcane captures CO2 from the atmosphere with every annual growth cycle. This means that the production of GREENFILM™ contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and global warming when compared to conventional plastics that are made using fossil materials.

I'm green™ certified plastics are developed to optimise the use of natural resources. They are the world's first bio-based Green Polyethylene plastics produced on an industrial scale using sugarcane ethanol at Braskem's Innovation & Technology Centre, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
